We urgently need more helpers from Anslow, Melbourne and Tutbury so we can apply for a licence. We currently don’t have enough volunteers to run the show safely and we won’t be able to get a license. https://forms.gle/AoZKbhDzNdSPPGEt5

Show T‑shirt finale costume:
The official show T‑shirt will be worn by all older classes for the finale, replacing a final costume change. Preschool children will remain in uniform tutus. Tshirts are optional for this group.

✅ Who Is In the Show?
- All children are in the show, including preschoolers.
- If your child is unable to take part, please let us know as soon as possible, as many dances are organised in pairs and lines.
- Children still benefit from classes even if they cannot perform.
Regular attendance is extremely important in the months and weeks leading up to the show—particularly for Acro, Juniors, Musical Theatre and Intermediates.
✍️ Show Permission Form (Very Important)
We are required to apply for a performance licence. To do this, every child must have a completed show permission form.

Deadlines
- All classes except preschool: 21st April
- Preschool : Before 16th May – earlier would be a real help.
Without this form, your child cannot be included in the show.
📅 Key Dates to Add to Your Diary
- Dress Rehearsal (Costumes) Saturday 27th June – Hilton Scout Hut
(Not preschoolers unless during usual class time)
- Stage Rehearsal (Compulsory) Friday 10th July – John Port Spencer Academy
(After school, approx. 5:00–7:00 pm. Not preschoolers)
- Saturday 11th July- Classes as Normal
- Show Day – Sunday 12th July – Afternoon- John Port School in Etwall
There will be two shows:
- Show 1: Hilton classes
- Show 2: Tutbury, Anslow & Melbourne
- Musical Theatre & Intermediates perform in both shows
- Professional Photos- Saturday 18th July – Hilton Scout Hut (all classes)

👗 Costumes
- Costumes are hired and worn with the usual dance uniform.
- A costume hire fee applies to all classes except preschool (they wear their tutus).
- Fees must be paid in advance so costumes can be ordered on time.
- Costume invoices and deadlines will be sent separately.
- Hire prices start from £3.30, depending on the number of costumes.
- Finale T‑shirt show costume– For the finale, all children will wear the official show T‑shirt. This replaces a final costume change and allows all costumes to be returned immediately and ready for our next performance. This is optional for the Preschool classes.
👕 What Will My Child Need?
A full breakdown of costumes, uniform, shoes, hair and makeup is available in the FAQ (linked below). Highlights include:
- Hair in a bun for all female dancers
- Children provide their own shoes, tights/leggings, makeup and hair accessories
🎟 Tickets
- Tickets will go on sale after Easter – online booking.
- Ticket numbers are not limited due to the larger venue.
- Prices will be higher than previous years to cover venue and staffing costs.
- A small number of VIP tickets will be available.
Full ticket details will be emailed closer to the time.
👪 Parent Helpers – Essential
To be granted a performance licence, we must meet legal supervision ratios.
- Helpers support one show only
- Helpers can watch the show their child is performing in
- DBS‑checked helpers are required (or contact us for alternative roles)
