Dance classes for Reception and Year 1 children including ballet, tap, modern, acrobatics, Drama, theatre and performing arts and mini street dance, focusing on technical skills, confidence, and creative expression.
Primary Dance
The Primary class is for children age 4-6 years in reception and year 1. It includes ballet and tap following the Royal Academy of Dance and ISTD and I-Path syllabus with free creative dance. This class allows the children to learn a range of dance styles including ballet, tap, and modern developing technical skills, confidence and creativity in dance. As well as exam work we do lots of creative free work and workshops within our classes to inspire and develop your child’s imagination.
The RAD and ISTD syllabus
The RAD and ISTD and I-Path syllabus has been designed in line with a child’s developmental stages and by world experts. They are the syllabus used by professional ballet and stage schools including The English National Ballet School, the Royal Ballet School and Elmhurst Ballet school who all take vocational exams with the RAD.
Modern
An additional modern class is also available for the primary age group. Modern is a fun and lively dance style that includes jumping and turning to different types of music. It encourages a sense of performance and is so much fun to dance and perform.

Street and Commercial
At primary age there is also an acrobatics class. We follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus, the world’s most trusted acrodance syllabus. It includes flexibility, balance and tumbling and complements many other dance styles.
Our Drama, theatre and performing arts class includes drama, singing and modern dance. It’s an all round Performing Arts class using acting, song and dance to develop their self-confidence and performance skills.
We have a Mini Steet Dance class for this age group where they learn all the latest moves and musical styles in this fun and active class. From popping and locking to high-energy choreography, your child will master the coolest moves inspired by street dance and commercial hip hop.

Our Primary Dance Classes are in Melbourne, Derbyshire on Thursdays, Anslow, near Burton Upon Trent on Fridays and Hilton in Derbyshire on Saturdays.
