Safeguarding Policy

Leap Dance Midlands is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We believe that all children have the right to feel safe, valued and respected, and we have a duty of care to protect them from harm in all areas of our work.

We have robust safeguarding procedures in place, including:

– Enhanced DBS checks for all teaching staff

– A Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

– Regular safeguarding training and ongoing professional development

– Clear and effective reporting procedures for any concerns

– Safe recruitment practices

– Secure handling and storage of information in line with data protection requirements

We recognise that some children may be more vulnerable and are committed to ensuring all children, regardless of age, ability or background, are protected. We also ensure that children and parents know how to raise concerns and where to seek support if needed. Any safeguarding concerns are handled appropriately and, where necessary, shared with relevant agencies in line with safeguarding guidance.
